Coaching & training that highlights the importance of neurodiversity in life and business
Hello there, I’m Jamie Light, a dual-qualified coach and trainer specialising in:
- Neurodiversity: ADHD (I was diagnosed aged 15), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, executive function, rejection sensitivity dysphoria (RSD), emotional regulation, sensory processing sensitivity, impulsivity, body-doubling, workplace accommodations, masking, burnout, hyperfocus, stimming, social skills
- Life & Wellbeing: parenting, being a young adult (teenager), relationships, addiction, anxiety, confidence, organisation, sleep, time management, overwhelm, stress management, work-life balance, mindfulness, goal setting, habits, productivity, self-care, boundaries, imposter syndrome
- Business and Career Development: entrepreneurship, career transition, professional development, leadership, training, performance, communication, strategy planning, marketing, brand, sales, business ownership, job search, interview skills, networking, team building, conflict resolution, decision making, public speaking, executive coaching
I am certified from the Association for Coaching (AC) and Universal Coaching Alliance (UCA), with over 160 hours of coaching experience, and 70 hours of accredited training. I was diagnosed with ADHD 18 years ago💡
Before I launched Jamie Light Coaching, I was an international marketing & sales leader for corporate organisations across the financial, technology, health and travel sectors. Throughout those years, I battled constantly against having ADHD and learned some tough but lifechanging lessons along the way. Most importantly, I realised that the fight I was having within myself was unnecessary and impossible to win, because working with my neurodivergent mind was where I would discover the peace and prosperity I longed for. That epic journey over nearly two decades, as well as my professional training, has taught me all of the techniques and knowledge I now support with clients with.
I was diagnosed with ADHD 18 years ago, so as a coach I have the most valuable experience of all: lived experience. But don’t worry – I coach undiagnosed as well as diagnosed ADHD, dyslexic, autistic or combined neurodiversity (e.g. AuDHD) adults and teenagers. I also coach many neurotypical people too. Whilst their journeys and discoveries are always different, their missions are often fairly similar – to [re]discover their true selves and leverage their inherent talents for lifechanging career and personal growth.
I coach on improving low confidence, focus, attention, task completion, time management, negative mindsets, anxiety, feeling stuck, overwhelm and reaching hidden or blocked potential. These traits are experienced by all types of people to a lesser or greater degree, so I coach non-neurodivergent (“neurotypical”) people too. I also offer specialist coaching for the partners and parents of neurodivergent individuals to facilitate deeper understanding, compassion and relationship harmony.
Insights and reflections
Warm feedback from a recent coachee
My clients are from all over the world. Session are available remotely over Zoom or in-person from my office in Witham, a town in Essex situated between Colchester and Chelmsford – not far from London.
No matter who you are, what you have, where you’ve been, how you feel, what you’ve done or how you think; I provide a safe space filled with authenticity, warmth, sensitivity and wise reflective coaching for you to explore your challenges. Side-by-side, we will work on your ability to manage these challenges and work towards your goals so you can enjoy a much happier, improved and more comfortable life.
The fact is that like many professionals, I was in a constant battle with my ADHD, anxiety and depression throughout my education and corporate career in finance, technology, healthcare and travel sectors. But my first coaching client was myself, and I was able to navigate my ADHD to achieve a First Class (1:1) Degree in English Language & Communication joint with History and a successful 11 years leading on international marketing and sales. I’ve learned a huge amount along the way and even if I could, I wouldn’t change any of the struggles I’ve overcome. All of it is invaluable experience and knowledge I now use to help my clients transform their own lives.
Coaching with me will help you make sense of, and overcome, neurodiversity challenges across your entire personal and professional lives. I’m also hired for public speaking events and to train organisations on becoming fully neuro-inclusive workplaces. I’m on a mission to highlight the importance of neurodiversity to help people and organisations thrive.
Please feel free to book an informal, no-obligation discovery call to find out more and to check we’ll make a great partnership.
